  • TSC Select Competitive Youth Soccer Coach

    Topeka Soccer Club (TSC) is the premier youth soccer club based in Topeka, Kansas. We are seeking passionate, knowledgeable, and motivated coaches to join our TSC Select program.


    TSC is committed to developing players both on and off the field. We are looking for coaches who align with our values, vision, and mission, and who are dedicated to helping players reach their full potential while contributing to the continued growth of the club.


    Key Responsibilities


    On-Field Coaching Responsibilities


    • Plan and lead engaging training sessions that focus on player development and team performance.
    • Develop players’ technical skills, tactical understanding, physical abilities, and decision-making.
    • Design and implement age-appropriate and level-specific training sessions aligned with club methodology.
    • Provide instruction in core soccer principles including dribbling, passing, receiving, shooting, defending, and game strategy.
    • Evaluate players and support development through Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
    • Provide consistent feedback and mentorship to support player growth and confidence.
    • Monitor player progress and adjust training plans to ensure continued development.
    • Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes teamwork, sportsmanship, accountability, and respect.
    • Assist with club programming such as camps, clinics, small-group training, and identification sessions when needed.
    • Represent Topeka Soccer Club professionally at all games, training sessions, and club events.

    Off-Field Responsibilities


    • Maintain clear and professional communication with players, parents, and club leadership.
    • Collaborate with the Director of Coaching and club leadership staff to support club initiatives and player pathways.
    • Assist with scheduling, administrative tasks, and program organization when necessary.
    • Support the overall mission and long-term development strategy of TSC.

    Preferred Qualifications


    • US Soccer D License or higher (or willingness to pursue licensing).
    • coaching experience at the youth, club, or collegiate level preferred.
    • Previous playing experience
    • Strong understanding of player development principles and youth coaching methodology.
    • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and mentorship skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively within a coaching staff and team environment.
    • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

    Technology & Organizational Skills


    • Experience using Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
    • Familiarity with Zoom, Google Meet, or other virtual communication platforms.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to solve problems effectively and manage multiple responsibilities.
    • Passion for building strong relationships within the club and local soccer community.

    Additional Requirements


    • Ability to travel for tournaments, showcases, and club events, including occasional overnight travel.
    • Availability for evening and weekend work, consistent with youth sports schedules.
    • Completion of background check and SafeSport certification.
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.
    • Additional duties may be assigned by the Director of Coaching.

  • TSC Select Assistant Coach – Coaching Development Pipeline

    Topeka Soccer Club (TSC) is building the next generation of coaches through our Select Coaching Development Pipeline. We are seeking motivated individuals who are interested in beginning their coaching journey and learning directly from experienced Select coaches.


    This position is designed for former players, current college players and aspiring coaches who want to gain real coaching experience while being mentored within a professional club environment.


    Our goal is simple: develop great coaches the same way we develop great players.


    About the Role:


    TSC Assistant Coaches work alongside Select Coaches to support team training, player development, and match-day operations. This role provides hands-on experience in training design, player development methodology, and team management.


    Assistant coaches will be part of a structured learning environment designed to help them grow into future Select Coaches within the club.


    What You’ll Do:


    On the Field


    • Assist with training sessions and help run small group activities.
    • Support player development by reinforcing technical skills, decision-making, and game understanding.
    • Help organize and set up training environments.
    • Assist with team warmups and game-day management.
    • Encourage and support players in a positive, development-focused environment.
    • Serve as a positive role model for players.

    Off the Field


    • Work closely with a Select Coach mentor.
    • Participate in coaching discussions and learning opportunities.
    • Assist with club events such as camps, clinics, or development sessions when needed.
    • Represent TSC professionally at all trainings, games, and events.

    • Availability for evening trainings and weekend games.
    • Occasional tournament participation may be required.
    • Completion of SafeSport certification and background check.
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
